I move we fire Ryan Murphy as a screenwriter and replace him with Robin.

Just imagine how awesome that would be.

  • We wouldn’t need flashbacks as some form of hind-sight continuity because  she would foreshadow the crap out of everything, to the point that when the events finally transpire, we’ll all shit rainbows.
  • The female characters would be ten times stronger, without depending upon their male counterpart or patronizing him for any semblance of strength. 
  • Will’s pep-talks would be exponentially more motivating and inspiring.
  • Music selection would be more diverse, and they might even put REAL ALTERNATIVE MUSIC in the show.
  • The characters would have more gritty, realistic, heart-breaking, gut-wrenching, and self-aware monologues. Think Puck’s monologue about knowing his own failures, then put it on steroids, and you’ve got an idea.
  • All of the characters, even the minor ones, would showcase multiple dimensions and actual growth, instead of supposedly “learning a life lesson” one episode, and reverting back to their old attitudes literally in the next episode.
  • Sarcasm, sarcasm, and more sarcasm.

I’m trying. I’m stuck in the middle of 07, which kind of sucks, because this is the chapter where we see more of the Darius/Andy dynamic from the original work, and I’m really excited because I’ve been discussing possible Darius dialog with Robin and ugh.
